We are currently hiring a Community Links Team Leader to join our inspiring and friendly Gloucestershire Empowering Minds Service.

This is a FTC role until 30/10/2026 

This role will be homebased with travel around the community. 


Rethink Mental Illness are an organisation whose common purpose is to help those who are severely impacted by mental illness.

The Empowering Minds Service aims to improve individual mental health outcomes for Gloucestershire residents with a Serious Mental Illness and/or common mental health conditions. Through a personalised support approach, we seek to reduce the need to access primary and secondary mental health services.

How you will make a difference

You will lead a team of Community Link Workers, to ensure that we are delivering high-quality, safe and person-centred care and support in line with contractual requirements – most importantly delivering great outcomes for people using our services.

You will supervise and support the delivery of the community links offer for the service, overseeing direction of a vibrant offer of support in the community, and ensuring staff are able to thrive in their roles by delivering effective supervision and fostering growth and development in staff. I oversee the promotion of the service offer of support, and celebrate success by sharing service user stories internally and externally, using social media platforms and attending forums and events.

You will develop excellent relationships with professionals across Gloucestershire, building pathways between services to support people to access the right support from the right services, representing the service in health partnership meetings (Local Community Partnerships).

Essential skills and experience required for this role:

  • Experience of supervising staff and experience of providing care and/or support services within a mental health or social care setting in either a paid or voluntary capacity.

  • Knowledge and understanding of recovery principles and embedding the ethos of recovery into your own practice.

  • The ability to make a comprehensive assessment of an individual’s situation and needs; to develop, implement and review risk management plans and devise support plans to meet these needs.

  • My way of working demonstrates and reflects Rethink Mental Illness’ values of CARES (Connect, Accountable, Respect, Evolve and Success)

    A driving licence in compulsory as you will be required to travel in the Community
